The Melt maker project is called The Melt INDUSTRY EDGE. The program is a 3-day hands-on STEM workshop for high school students aged 12 to 17 at The Melt Modern Manufacturing Centre and STEM Innovation Lab in Muswellbrook. This hands-on STEM Maker Project is designed for secondary students aged 12-17 with varying levels of technical abilities. The programs will be delivered by The Melt at the amazing Donald Horne Building in Muswellbrook. It is FREE to attend, thanks to the generous support from BHP and Muswellbrook Shire Council.During the 3 days you will design and construct a physical product, e.g. your own customised bluetooth speaker, from an electronics build kit that is yours to keep!You will be collaborating in groups of 4 and we will provide you with all the guidance and support you need along the way.We will provide you with lunch plus morning and afternoon snacks, but you can also bring your own food if you prefer. Bring a refillable water bottle with you to keep hydrated.Applications close on 19 September, and space is limited to 20 participants in each of the 2 cohorts during the upcoming Spring school holidays (select your preferred dates below).Apply to The Melt MAKER program via the form.
