2. Activation & onboarding
Click ‘Apply for membership’ to skip step 1 and sign up for a free membership. The Melt will activate your membership and onboard you to the facilities so you get the most from the centre.
3. Start building
You’ll be supported with your project through specialised training on the equipment, support to complete the project and expertise to guide you through.

There is a flexible, subsidised pricing structure available for every type of business, regardless of where you are located. Businesses located outside of the Muswellbrook Shire Council are able to become a member and access the facility for subsidised pricing that is well-below market rates. Local residents are able to access a further 50% discount thanks to support from the Muswellbrook Shire Council as they invest in the transformation, re-skilling and continued prosperity of the region.
The Modern Manufacturing Centre is located in NSW’s energy heartland in the regional centre of Muswellbrook (about 2.5 hours north of Sydney and 1.5 hours from Newcastle). The leading facility is easy to access, well-connected to logistics networks and supported by the infrastructure of a regional centre servicing the energy industry.
Yes, our team of industrial design, production and engineering experts can help you work through the process of developing, designing, producing and testing your prototype. As part of onboarding, we will introduce, familiarise and train you on the equipment to make sure you are able to get the most out of the facility.
